The Optum line includes two models, both with CVT transmissions. And Puma, Maxxum get upgrades.

Case IH is rolling out the new Optum tractor series which the company is positioning into the high-end hay and forage market. The line includes two models - 240 and 270 PTO hp - and the only available transmission is the Case IH CVT. Engine power comes from a final tier 4 power plant that uses only selective catalytic reduction to meet emission standards.. The new design is a hint of what's to come from future Case IH tractors as well, offering you a sneak peek into the next-generation of tractors.

At 270 and 300 engine hp, the new Optum line offers a sneak peek at how Case IH tractors will look in the future.

The Optum, along with Puma and Maxxum lines, can now be outfitted with Class 3 ISOBUS which allows the implement to talk to the machine, which enhances control and improves performance. The first use is a large square baler from Case IH, but more new uses are planned.

This new-look for Case IH includes LED lighting, which is becoming almost universal on new machines. The Optum line has the option to add plenty of lighting to provide you good night-time operational visibility. Behind that distinctive nose are several other features including available antilock braking system, autoguidance and in-cab tire pressure monitoring. There are three bar-axle choices for a range of wheel spacings. A flange and tire offering for large singles are also options. And large hydraulic capacity is designed to run planters and seeders; and there's a suspended axle and cab suspension too.

The Puma and Maxxum lineup get upgrades too. The Puma gets new roof cap styling, enhanced lighting and a redesigned grab-rail lighting structure; and deluxe seating and a leather wrapped steering wheel for added comfort. That anti-lock braking system is optional too. ISOBUS 3 is available with CVT models.

For the Maxxum there are new seating choices a radio antenna amplifier and HVAC control panel for a better riding experience. And a second accumulator has been added to the front-axle suspension system to improve the ride
