Commodity Classic to be Held in Tampa

Next March's 11th annual Commodity Classic will allow producers to network and learn how to maximize profitability.

The 11th annual Commodity Classic, being tabbed "Bounty on the Bay," will be held in Tampa, Fla. on March 1-3, 2007. Corn, soybeans and wheat groups will come together for the convention and trade show, in which growers can network with agribusiness leaders and attend educational sessions.

For the first time, all of the nation's top three crops will be represented, as the National Association of Wheat Growers will join the American Soybean Association and the National Corn Growers Association. The three crops account for more than two-thirds of America's cropland.

U.S. Farm Report host John Phipps will emcee the General Session, and the presidents of each of the three major growers' associations will engage in candid discussion about the upcoming year.

Susan Schwab, U.S. Trade Representative, has been invited to deliver the session's keynote address.

"There's no better event than Commodity Classic, with its impressive trade show, to help farmers stay on the cutting edge of new technology, products and services," said ASA President Rick Ostlie. "Representatives from all the top agriculture companies are on hand to talk with growers and answer their questions."

Registration brochures will be mailed in mid-November, and you can find more information at www.commodityclassic.com.
