The contest seeks high resolution photos of corn at every growth stage. Interested participants can submit multiple entries until November 30, 2015.
The NCGA Fields-of-Corn photo contest offers a free opportunity for photographers to share their work while competing for a $500 grand prize.
Entries will also be considered for prizes with cash awards for the top three entries in five categories including: Farm Family Lifestyle, Farming Challenges, Growing Field Corn, Scenery/Landscape, and Still Life from the Farm.
NCGA says the "Farming Challenges" category is especially fitting for many growers who are currently experiencing flooding. More information on prizes and categories is available on the NCGA website.
Photos will be ranked by members of the public, who will be asked to select their favorites using online Facebook "likes." The Top 10 photos in each category will then be judged by an impartial panel of professionals in the fields of journalism, marketing, advertising and agriculture with no discrimination towards sex, race, gender or age. The panel's decisions are final.
