It's not the Polar Vortex – hopefully – but winter returned to much of the Midwest this morning, with more cold temperatures on the way later this week. Some soft red winter wheat fields could be damaged if they lack snow cover, because sub-zero readings could be seen as far south as the Ohio River Valley by Thursday morning. That prospect helped grain futures rally across the board overnight.
