Private exporters reported the export sale of 4.96 million bushels of 2014/2015 corn to unknown destinations, USDA said on Friday.
The marketing year for corn began Sept. 1.
Year-to-date outstanding corn sales to unknown destinations totaled 140.4 million bushels as of Oct.9, down from 152.7 million a year earlier. Today's sales were not included in Friday's weekly numbers.
The sale was reported under USDA's daily export sales reporting system. Exporters are required to report to USDA any export sales activity of 100,000 tons or more of one commodity made in one day.
