Exports Boost Wheat Markets

Another week of strong wheat export numbers has the market trading higher. (Audio)

This morning's wheat export numbers came in strong on sales and shipments, leading the market higher. Export commitments for wheat are about 7% ahead of normal pace and don't look to be slowing down. Soybean prices are down this morning despite another report of better than expected soybean export sales, but it is raining in Chicago and early yield reports are coming in mixed with some better than expected values.

Another week of strong wheat export numbers has the market trading higher.

Market Analyst Paul Burgener joined the Farm Futures team in November 2012 and brings a solid ag economics background. A former University of Nebraska Extension Ag Economist with training from the University of Wyoming, Burgener brings extensive experience to his new role.
