House Set to Move Another CR

House Set to Move Another CR

Three-week continuation will be voted on.

Tuesday the House of Representatives will consider yet another Continuing Resolution designed to keep government moving, however, this resolution is a three-week extension.  The proposal includes $6 million in cuts, and in an unusual occurrence, this CR contains no policy riders.

Also, this latest Continuing Resolution contains no language cutting funding for the health care overhaul law. And it does not cut PBS and NPR funding.  It appears many constituents in rural areas have let it be known they genuinely like the signals they receive from public broadcasting.

Consideration in the Senate could be a bit slower.  Senator John McCain, R-Ariz., wants to include a comprehensive Defense appropriations bill to the CR.
