New attachment for Deere planters

New attachment for Deere planters

Agriculture Concepts rolls out new tool that helps eliminate pinch row compaction.

Agriculture Concepts is launching the TrackTill for spring 2015. The planter attachment is designed to reduce pinch row compaction and the new product will be available for John Deere Bauer Built planters with narrow row spacing. And the attachment will be available for John Deere 1770/1775 planters. The company has been testing the product in the field for several years.

CUTTING COMPACTION: The Track Till aims to end pinch-row compaction, which can be a significant yield challenge for crops.

Track Till was used by 23 producers in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota and Nebraska in 2014. Available only on a limited basis so the company could work with producers one-on-one to test the product. The company also offers CADEN Edge which is a tungsten carbide edge treatment applied to tillage sweeps. This was introduced to John Deere dealers for spring 2014 and according to the company the process can triple the wear life of ordinary sweeps. The process can now be applied to ripper points.
