New Holland Launches New Combine Line

Company rolls out first Class 10 machine with 653 hp. And all machines in the line get a new cab.

New Holland is rolling out a new CR Combine series with higher productivity and improved grain handling than its predecessors, according to the company's announcement. Boasting as much as a 15% productivity increase, the new line gets extended as large as Class 10, and all the machines will get the new Harvest Suite Ultra Cab.

The company has changed model designations to make it easier for you to know what class level you're looking at at buying time. Model numbers range from the CR6.90 at 401 hp to the new CR10.90 Elevation with 653 hp. Combine class is based mostly on engine horsepower.

New Holland rolls out first Class 10 machine with 653 hp. And all machines in the line get a new cab.

Power for the machines - all but the CR9.90 Elevation - comes from Tier 4b EcoBlue Hi-eSCR engine technologies. The engines meet the tightest emissions regulations with only the addition of diesel exhaust fluid as part of regular operation. The CR9.90 Elevation is powered by a Tier 4A engine, which also relies on the SCR technology to meet emissions.

The machines use the twin-rotor design pioneered by New Holland 40 years ago. Of course in that time, the company has made continuous improvements in the system. The Dynamic Feed Roll that features mechanical stone protection. That allows the system to feed rotors faster while keeping stones out of the system, which means less stopping. New serrated blades on the roll are more gentle on the crop too.

Changing from crop to crop is easy, the company says. Adjustable rotor vanes require less power in high-volume crops and deliver high capacity too.

That new Harvest Suite Ultra Cab has more glass in the greenhouse than ever before, and at 131 cu. ft. it is larger han its predecessor. The interior design is also reconfigured for improved operator comfort. The IntelliView IV 10.4-inch color touchscreen monitor makes tracking combine operations simpler too. And the monitor is mounted on rollers so you can change its position for best view. You can also add an optional second monitor to track more functions at the same time.
