Good weather through the weekend is expected to hold until late on Tuesday when showers move across the Midwest, slowing harvest progress. Grains are trading lower today as the market waits patiently for an export data dump coming on Thursday. The Federal Reserve opens its October meeting tomorrow with expectation that poor economic news will hold of any tapering of bond buying until at least spring.

Market Analyst Paul Burgener joined the Farm Futures team in November 2012 and brings a solid ag economics background. A former University of Nebraska Extension Ag Economist with training from the University of Wyoming, Burgener brings extensive experience to his new role.
