Soybeans Lead Markets Lower

Soybean prices use turnaround Tuesday to tumble again despite a new Chinese purchase of 2014 beans. (audio)

Soybean prices are off sharply this morning as harvest nears completion and the China purchases 8.2 million bushels of 2014 beans. Corn prices tried to rally off the two day slide overnight, but find little support in this market. Wheat also tried to move higher overnight before lack of positive news pulled prices lower toward midday.

Market Analyst Paul Burgener joined the Farm Futures team in November 2012 and brings a solid ag economics background. A former University of Nebraska Extension Ag Economist with training from the University of Wyoming, Burgener brings extensive experience to his new role.
