Do You Trust USDA To Report Acreage?

Do You Trust USDA To Report Acreage?

We're looking to our readers to fill in a short survey that we'll report ahead of the USDA estimates that come out June 28.

Cold, wet weather this spring has raised concerns about acreage, as farmers try to recover from last year's devastating drought. And Farm Futures wants to get an idea of how this year's weather has impacted your planting operation.

USDA updates its estimates June 28, with the first look at how actual seedings compare to March planting intentions.

Please tell us your experiences this spring using the survey link below. Reporting your planted acreage on this brief online survey will help us provide the latest information to farmers ahead of the June 28 reports. We'd also like to know about your June 1 grain inventories, a key question this year due to tight supplies of 2012 crops.

TAKE OUR SURVEY: We'll report results from the Farm Futures acreage survey a week before key June 28 reports from USDA

We'll release results of our survey a week before the government report, to give you time to prepare and adjust your marketing plans. Readers help us provide another voice for acreage estimates in the market.

Individual replies to this survey will be kept completely confidential, with only totals reported. It's important information to share with the market.
