Private exporters reported that Costa Rica bought 4.32 million bushels of 2014/2015 U.S. corn, USDA said on Friday.
USDA's weekly report showed that as of Nov. 20, Costa Rica had outstanding sales of nearly 11.4 million bushels of corn. Friday's sales will be included in a future weekly report.
The marketing year for corn began Sept. 1.
USDA issues both daily and weekly export sales reports to the public. Exporters are required to report to USDA any export sales activity of 100,000 tons or more of one commodity, made in one day or quantities totaling 200,000 tons or more in any reporting period.
