Vietnam Buys 110,000 Metric Tons of U.S. Soybeans

Purchase is for 2014/2015 crop year, USDA says

Private exporters reported that Vietnam bought 110,000 metric tons of U.S. soybeans for delivery during the 2014/2015 marketing year, USDA said on Wednesday.

USDA's latest weekly export showed that Vietnam, as of August 7, had bought 65,300 metric tons of 2014/2015 soybeans and 513,700 of the 2013/2014 crop.

The marketing year for soybeans begins Sept. 1.

USDA issues both daily and weekly export sales reports to the public.  Exporters are required to report to USDA any export sales activity of 100,000 tons or more of one commodity, made in one day or quantities totaling 200,000 tons or more in any reporting period.
