China Buys 111,000 Tonnes Optional-Origin 2014-2015 Soybeans

Private exporters reported the optional-origin sale of 111,000 metric tons of soybeans Tuesday

Private exporters reported the optional-origin sales of 111,000 metric tons of soybeans for delivery to China during the 2014-2015 marketing year, USDA said on Tuesday.

An optional-origin contract provides that the origin of the commodity may be the U.S. or one or more other exporting countries.

The marketing year for soybeans starts Sept. 1.

USDA issues both daily and weekly export sales reports to the public.  Exporters are required to report to USDA export sales of 100,000 metric tons or more of one commodity to one destination by 3 p.m. Eastern time on the next business day following the sale.
