China buys 120,000 M/T 2013-2014 soybeans

Private exporters reported that China bought 120,000 metric tons, or 4.41 million bushels, of 2013-14 U.S. soybeans, USDA said on Monday.

Exporters also reported unknown destinations bought 135,000 tonnes of U.S. soybean cake and meal for 2014-15 delivery.

The marketing year for soybeans began Sept. 1 and for soybean cake and meal it begins Oct. 1.

USDA issues both daily and weekly export sales reports to the public.  Exporters are required to report to USDA any export sales activity of 100,000 tons or more of one commodity, made in one day or quantities totaling 200,000 tons or more in any reporting period.
